FAQs Archive - Ambient Bathrooms Ltd

Q: What guarantee do you offer?

Ambient Bathrooms provides an extended workmanship warranty on every installation, which goes beyond the minimum cover required under UK trading standards and the Consumer Rights Act 2015. It covers defects in the workmanship and materials supplied by Ambient Bathrooms. In addition, manufacturer guarantees of up to 10 years may apply to specific products such as sanitaryware, showers, and boilers. These are separate from the Ambient Bathrooms labour warranty and are subject to the manufacturer’s terms. Full warranty terms are provided in writing with your quotation.

Q: How long does a bathroom installation take?

Most bathroom installations are booked over two weeks, which covers removal of the existing bathroom, first-fix plumbing and electrics, tiling, fitting of sanitaryware, and final finishing. Larger or more complex projects — for example, significant layout changes, re-plumbing, or wet rooms — are typically booked over three weeks to ensure the work is completed to a high standard without being rushed. Ambient Bathrooms will provide a project timeline as part of your quotation.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?

Payment terms are discussed and agreed during the quotation stage. Ambient Bathrooms accepts payment by cash or bank transfer only. Full payment details will be outlined in your written quotation.

Q: How much does a wet room cost to install?

Wet room installations typically cost more than a standard bathroom due to the additional tanking and waterproofing work required. As a guide, expect to add approximately £2,000 to £3,000 on top of the equivalent standard bathroom cost, depending on size, tiling, and features such as underfloor heating. The tanking system, which waterproofs the floor and walls, is a significant part of the cost but is essential to prevent water damage. Ambient Bathrooms will provide a detailed quotation covering all aspects of the work.
